A belly dancer gives a restaurant or hotel evening a reason to stay for one more course. You book a live show for an Arabic night, a themed dinner or a special date, and the dancer performs between tables or on a small stage at the times you choose.
Price: a belly dance show usually costs AED 1,500 to AED 2,000. Group shows, extra sets and peak dates cost more. See belly dance show prices.
Who books a belly dancer for a restaurant
Restaurant and lounge managers. An Arabic night, a weekend special or a holiday menu feels complete with a live show. It gives guests something to watch, film and talk about.
Hotel teams. A themed dinner by the pool, a buffet night or a welcome evening for a tour group. The show fits into the hotel's own program.
Guests booking for their own party. You reserved a private room for a birthday or a family dinner and want a show at the table. Check with the restaurant first, then book the dancer. For parties at home, see private belly dancers.
How the show fits your service
A restaurant runs on timing. The dancer should never block a waiter with a tray of hot plates. Plan the sets for the moments when the room is settled:
| Moment | Why it works |
|---|---|
| After mains are served | Guests are seated and eating, so the floor is clear |
| Between mains and dessert | A natural pause that lifts the room |
| Late evening | Brings energy back and keeps tables longer |
Each set lasts 10 to 15 minutes. Most venues book two sets with a break. Add more if the evening is long.
Space, light and sound
Floor. The dancer can move between tables or use a small open area. Keep the path free of bags and chair legs. A small stage helps in a big room.
Light. Soft light is fine, but guests must be able to see her. A single spotlight on the floor area works well.
Sound. The dancer works with your sound system. If you have none, the team can arrange sound, live musicians or a DJ.
Changing room. She needs a private room with a mirror close to the floor. A staff office or a spare private dining room is enough.

Theme, music and costume
Tell the team your concept. A classic Arabic night calls for a traditional Egyptian set with finger cymbals and a veil. A modern rooftop lounge might suit a fusion routine with current songs. Costume colours are chosen to match your interior or your theme. A group of dancers can perform a set routine for a large hotel event. See the belly dance show formats.
Before you book
- Check that your venue licence and your landlord allow live shows.
- Agree the set times with your kitchen and floor manager.
- Plan where the dancer arrives and gets ready.
Then send the date, the time of service, the size of the room and the theme. The team checks who is free, sends videos of the dancers and confirms the price. Hosting a company dinner at the venue? See belly dancers for corporate events.
